Conferencing & Events in Premier Ski Venues
Coronet Peak & The Remarkables ski areas are the life blood of winter in Queenstown. The ski area and base lodge facilities at both Ski Areas offer a unique venue for functions & events in a spectacular environment, as well as a dramatic backdrop for film crews, and facilities for on-mountain winter teambuilding activities, night skiing group events, and organised Winter Olympics team events.
Our primary business of running New Zealandβs premier ski areas takes precedence for use of these facilities during our winter season, however, outside of operational times and throughout the year, we can offer the use of these facilities by Conference & Incentive Groups and private hire for events such as gala dinners, weddings, and birthday parties. During our winter season we can offer a variety of options for small to medium groups.
Located only 20 minutes drive from Queenstown, Coronet Peak is easily accessible and has spectacular views across to the Remarkables and over the Wakatipu Basin. We are capable of hosting a variety of function and event options, with our multifaceted building and rollercoaster ski area terrain.

The Remarkables restaurant has been designed in βZonesβ so each area has a slightly different look and feel, that can be sectioned off with mobile planters, or can remain open plan. The restaurants and bars wrap around the internal service areas creating 360o views of the mountain and down into the valley, meaning there are differing lines of sight throughout the floor. The outdoor deck also wraps around the building , and has glass wind barriers, creating a comfortable outdoor environment. The different zones means this venue is ideal for cocktail functions, Gala Dinners , Buffet & Walk & Fork Style , and casual cotemporary events. The Westend Room is a private medium sized room, which is separate from the cafΓ©, and has its own access on-to the south deck.
- Take a jetboat trip. Designed in New Zealand, the jetboat is now an iconic activity particularly in Queenstown, where there are as many as five different jetboat trips to choose from. All in different locations but all offering the same excitement, speed and the trademark 360Β° spins.
- Helicopter with glacier landing. Helicoptering in New Zealand is accessible and cost-effective with some of the most experienced pilots in the world. Queenstown offers some breathtaking flights in and around the Southern Alps which can incorporate glacier and mountain top landings. The best way to really make your group feel special.
- Winery tour in Gibbston Valley. New Zealand wine has always focussed on the quality end of the market resulting in some fabulous award-winning wineries. Nowhere more so than in the Gibbston Valley near Queenstown, best known for its robust pinot noir and crisp Rieslings. Wine tasting here delivers some great experiences, not only from the wine but also from the stunning scenery and beautiful wineries many of them serving first-class lunches or private dinners.
- Kiwiana themed dinner with traditional cultural Maori welcome. Really immerse your group into the essence of New Zealand by transforming the dining venue into the flora, fauna and culture of New Zealand. With the addition of live entertainment from a lively and interactive traditional Maori group of singers and dancers a very memorable night is guaranteed.
- Marquee dinner in a natural setting, with lake and mountain backdrop. Make the most of the exceptional untouched landscapes in New Zealand by holding your final dinner in a marquee allowing guests to really experience the beautiful natural settings that New Zealand can provide. With a population of only 4.2 million, the overwhelming impression of the land is pure and green, with fresh air and clean waters. From the majestic fiords and Southern Alps of the South Island, to the ancient native rainforests and silver, sandy bays of the North Island, New Zealand is a land of awesome beauty. Queenstown (MΔori: Tahuna) is a resort town in Otago in the south-west of New Zealand’s South Island, built around an inlet called Queenstown Bay on Lake Wakatipu, a long thin Z-shaped lake formed by glacial processes, and has spectacular views of nearby mountains such as The Remarkables, Cecil Peak, Walter Peak and just above the town; Ben Lomond and Queenstown Hill.
