The absolute best part of working with our DMC partners & buyers, is the opportunities to travel and meet up with our experts in their own countries, and experience first hand the awesome experiences that curate for our Australian & NZ incentive buyers.

I had the opportunity to travel to Argentina, a land of vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and world-class food – and offers the perfect destination for incentive travel groups looking to experience a mix of adventure, relaxation, and luxury.

These are the highlights that create an ideal six day itinerary, showcasing the very best of this diverse destination.

Day 1-3: Buenos Aires – A Cultural Feast

Begin your program in the heart of Buenos Aires. I stayed at the boutique hotel Casa Lucia, in the heart of Recoletta, and walking distance to bars, and cafes for your caffeine fix first thing of a morning.  This area is an ideal base to find yourself immersed in the vibrant pulse of the city to explore Buenos Aires’ charm, with its wide avenues, historical landmarks, and lively neighborhoods.

Incentive groups can experience a private tango lesson followed by a night at one of the city’s famous tango shows. This is more than just a performance; it’s a journey into the passionate spirit of Argentina. The culinary scene is another highlight, and no visit is complete without dining at Fogón Asado, where you’ll enjoy a multi-course traditional Argentine BBQ, paired with some of the country’s finest wines.

Argentina is the home of Messi, and Maradona, and football passion runs in the veins of every Argentinean.  In Buenos Aires you can visit Boca Juniors or River Plate, and depending on the season, perhaps even include the spectacle of attending a match.

Day 4: Iguassu Falls – Nature at Its Best

A short, 2 hour domestic flight brings you to one of the world’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders: Iguassu Falls.  My tip – stay at one of the hotels located in the National Park.   You will save time, and perhaps have the opportunity, like we did, to walk into the park as soon as the gates open, and be the only people at Devils Throat, before the tourist groups arrive.

You can spend the day exploring the falls from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides, and a must is the thrilling jet boat ride that takes you right under the cascading water—there is not a part of you left dry, and it’s an exhilarating experience that your team won’t forget.

Day 5-6: Bariloche – A Mountain Escape

For the final two days, a flight to Bariloche brings you to the tranquil beauty of Patagonia.  There are a number of hotel options in Bariloche town, we elected to stay at the historice Llao Llao Hotel, to be surrounded by the Andes mountains and crystal-clear lakes. This part of the trip is all about enjoying the outdoors—take a guided walk through the lush forests, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy some of the best chocolate in Argentina, for which Bariloche is famous.

I’m an outdoors fan, some of our highlights included a kayak on the lake with a private gourmet lunch on the shores of the lake, walks both simple and challenging, and taking the cruise for the lakes crossing, to get up close to the mountains and inspiring peaks.

In the evenings, the region’s fine wines and gourmet food will be another highlight, with local dishes that emphasize fresh, regional ingredients.

Why Argentina?

Argentina’s blend of dynamic cities, natural wonders, and world-class hospitality makes it a top destination for incentive travel groups. The internal flights are surprisingly affordable, allowing easy travel between regions. The quality of food and wine is top class, and every meal, however simple, is a culinary delight.  Experienced guides and curated experiences ensure every group enjoys the best the country has to offer.
