The unique scenery of Zhangjiajie, which inspired the movie Avatar A natural gallery of botanical gardens and spectacular rock formations, UNESCO declared Zhangjiajie a world heritage site in 1990. Its scenery consists of endless waterfalls, caves, rivers and approximately 243 imposing peaks that are surrounded by over 3000 karts up thrusts, a combination unseen elsewhere. The park features grotesque peaks, lucid brooks, abundant fauna and floras and hospitable climate. There are six main scenic spots and over 90 smaller ones in the park to date.
The ancient town of Fenghuang along the southern Silk Road Feng Huang Cheng is a wonderful example of what villages were like prior to the onset of modernization. The town is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty where mountains, water and blue skies prevail. One would be touched by its air of mystery, elegance and primitive simplicity. This is a world that is dominated by the color green. The mountain slopes are covered with green foliage, the fields are green and even the Tuo Jiang River reflects the greenery.
The Yellow Mountain, with its reputation of being the most spectacular mountain in China Huangshan Mountain in east China's Anhui province is one of China’s ten best-known scenic spots. It is characterized by the four wonders, namely, odd-shaped pines, grotesque rock formation, seas of clouds and crystal-clear hot springs. Mount Huangshan is celebrated for having all the features of mountain scenery and known as the No. 1 Mountain Under heaven
