Emerging Destination: Marseille

May 2020 | posted by Tourism Portfolio
Summer in Europe is just around the corner and while we can't travel there at the moment, we've picked Marseille as an emerging destination for MICE groups for 2022. Only 3 hours from Paris via fast train link, find out what a few days in the Southern region of France could look like with our guide for 3 days in Marseille. This program is suitable for a group of approximately 60 delegates.

After arriving in the southern part of France, begin the incentive with a private evening event at MuCEM - Museum of Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean, a stunning modern venue overlooking the water.  The venue was inaugurated on 7 June 2013 as part of Marseille-Provence 2013, a year when Marseille was designated as the European Capital of Culture.

A new day begins.  Discover the Provence region in retro style vans for sightseeing, stopping for an outdoor lunch at Château Lacoste among the vineyards.  After the meal indulge in wine tasting and education and/or an Art tour.

Followed by dinner at Le Peron. On the terrace or indoors in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere, Peron brings to life the magic of a table overlooking the sea.  The menu offers a local gastronomic cuisine with Mediterranean flavours.  This restaurant has been a exceptional place since 1885.

Pétanque tournament with Provencal cooking session, followed by lunch at La Nautique.  A highlight of any trip to Marseille is a private regatta in the Bay of Marseille - shipwrecks, scuba diving and beaches await.
